BUILDING using Just Blocks will teach the child how to concentrate on the task at hand and how to persevere in reaching the target. Playing constructor is an experience in creativity, a chance to learn how to complete new projects and an opportunity to find the child’s own capabilities. Just Blocks develops children’s creativity and allows to find new structural solutions and to develop their spatial imagination through amusement.
Just Blocks grow with the child. They shape the child on every stage of his development.
A three-year old begins with a simple arranging, combining several elements, recognising and matching shapes, carrying and fitting blocks with the rest of them. A toddler trains a proper grip, learns the texture of wood and spatial relations (up, down, left, right). Towers are being created (one block on top of another), than walls (one block next to another) and straight roads.
At the age of 4-5 years the child starts to plan and is more precise in arranging blocks, and because of that begins to create more and more complex structures. The child deals better with frustration, problem solving and is more persistent in aiming for the goal. The structures begin to have breaches, gates, windows, vehicles, bridges, etc.
An older, 7+ years old child is able to think up and build complicated three-dimensional spatial structure on his/hers own. A seven-year-old accustomed to the Just Blocks knows basic rules of physics, he/she acquired the skills of maintaining balance in constructing and he/she has a well-developed spatial imagination. Such a child is not afraid of challenges. First, pyramids are created, then castles, houses motorways and many, many others.
The important fact is that a set of Just Blocks is also a challenge for older people (teenagers, parents or grandparents) and it is a great idea for a family play.
PLANNING is the first step to complete the construction task. To be able to do so, the child need to have a sufficient number of building elements, space and sometimes the assistance from a friend or a parent. During play the child will find that some of the projects assumptions can be changed, in order to make the structure more stable and more functional. This experience will be used by the child during his/her next project.
The Just Blocks brick teach children how to work with PRECISION when constructing new structures. The child will find that his/her structure will be more stabile when the elements are placed with a greater accuracy. Adding the smallest posts will give the structure an individual character. When constructing various structures using Just Blocks, the child will concentrate on the currently performed task, developing at the same time the small motor skills and the hand – eye coordination.
For a child, PLAYING is the best form of learning. Building various structures using Just Blocks is just the beginning. The created structure becomes a new play zone, which can house the child’s favourite characters or toy vehicles. Bringing to life new architectural images is tantamount to discovering by the child new forms of amusement and collecting experience. Executing new projects means that play with Just Blocks will never turn to a boring pastime.
